A murder mystery whose protagonist is an ex-junkie & prostitute & auto mechanic, as the author says she herself is, or was. This was an "Amazon Recommends" item that I picked up at Borders (reversal of the usual order!). Despite the rave reviews I judge it merely OK and would not go out of my way to read more in the series.
